Venting...

I am not sure how I am feeling but I guess in one word it would be "frustrated"...I really can not describe to you why I am frustrated, I just am. I am frustrated with myself because I am trying so hard to enjoy this pregnancy, and I feel that I have gotten past the "beyond freaked out" stage but I am still worrying and I know that I need to put all my trust in God and just enjoy this wonderful miracle.

Sydney is giving us a run for our money with discipline. When she was younger she was just so cute and well behaved and then something happened...and now we have a very, I mean very, strong willed child. So I struggle every day with the questions...Am I doing this right? Am I raising this child the way God wants me to? Should I be disciplining her for this? ECT.

Life is just hard for me right now, and I know that it will get better but for now I am just praying that God shows me what I should be learning in these moments!

San Francisco

The day after Christmas we started our wonderful vacation to San Francisco. My parents got a timeshare on Nob Hill and wanted us to join them, and of course I could not turn that down. We had to be at the airport bright and early friday morning. I waited till the last minute to wake Sydney up so that we could just head out the door after she was dressed. I wish I had some pictures of the morning but my mom has all of those. Sydney did so good on the plane I was amazed...I thought it was going to be much harder. She watched a movie and played with some new toys that I saved for the plane ride. We got to SF by 10:30am and we could not check into our place till 3pm. (If you ever go to SF do NOT stay at Nob Hill Inn, it was horrible and I will get into more of that later.)

So to waist time before we could check in we went down to Fisherman's Wharf and walked around until Sydney fell asleep. Here are a few pictures of downtown SF.

On Saturday we went to the park and Sydney got to do her favorite thing, swing on the swing:)
Walking with grandma
On Sunday we drove to Newark where we use to live. I moved from this house to AZ when I was 12 so it has been 14 years since we have been there and the house has not changed on the outside one bit! There is a lake right by our house that we always walked around at night or our school would do "fun runs" so I would always run around the lake with school and my dad and I use to race each other around it. Here are a few pictures of Newark

Mike gave the ducks some food so they started following them...Sydney thought this was the funniest thing ever!

On Monday we drove 2 hours to go see Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a huge place and tons of cool things to see. We all had a great time and Sydney really liked the fish. After the aquarium we went to a really nice seafood restaurant. Everyone got seafood but me, I ate some amazing chicken!

One Tuesday and Wednesday we spent the days in the city walking around Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. I got to go to Nike Town and get a cool pair of shoes and Mike got to go to his favorite store called Kid Robot, where he got some of his favorite collecting items. I am really not sure what they are called but to me they look like toys :)
The day before we left to come back home we went to see a family friend just outside of SF. It was about an hour drive and Sydney again did great in the car. We went to a pizza place with the family...it was just like an "Amazing Jakes" here in AZ. We ate a ton of food and then Sydney got to ride the rides. For the first time I actually saw that my little girl is not so little anymore. She wanted to ride the rides all by herself and she did great...but Mike and I really did not want her growing up already but its gonna happen!

Here are a few pictures of her being Miss Independent
She started getting tired so she wanted her monkey and paci

On Friday we headed home. Sydney had a little bit of a rough time on the flight home and thats just because it was way past her bed time. We all had a wonderful time. Mom and Dad thanks so much for taking us with you it was great to be able to get away from life for a little bit :)
