POO POO in the potty!!!

Well, we have some big news in the Marinello household... Sydney did her first poo poo in the potty. She kept telling me she had to go so I put her on the potty and out it came. We made a big deal about it and made her take a picture and she got to flush it bye-bye, which she was actually sad about. Saturday we were busy running around so she never really bugged us about going to the bath room but this morning (Sunday) after church she did it again! Good job Sydney! Here are a few pictures of the wonderful day!

Here she is in her big girl undies
This is what she thinks of her undies!
I also got a few bathtub pictures that I love to take because she is so happy when she gets to take a bath! She has so much fun and if I would let her stay in for hours she would but normally I have to get her out because the water starts to get cold.

On Saturday my dad came over in the morning to do some more on the wood floors. This project has taken over a year and we are glad to say that we are just about finished. We have about 3 more cuts and the baseboards and we are done!

When you put down wood floors normally you have to put some type of foam down before and somehow Sydney took the left over foam and put it in her room. She was playing with this for what seemed like an hour and the whole time she kept making it a blanket and laying on it. She is so funny and of course has the imagination like her fathers.

I love her little feet and had to get a picture.
Nothing else has really happened this week. I have been trying really hard to finish the twilight series and I always get caught up doing something else and it is really driving me crazy. I am half way through "eclipse" and am dying to read "breaking dawn", I have heard from a dear friend that its the best one :)

This coming Friday we have our 20 week ultrasound and if we choose to we can find out what we are having. Of course Mike could not go another 20 weeks without knowing so I believe that we will find out. I am now at the point where I have no normal shirts that fit me, and that really frustrates me. I still don't have to wear maternity pants but man the shirts  are driving me crazy and it makes me not want to leave the house because I have NOTHING to wear. Also I have low self esteem when it comes to my weight so I just always think I look fat and that really frustrates me to no end.
Thanks for reading as I write about my daughters first potty job :)

Venting...

I am not sure how I am feeling but I guess in one word it would be "frustrated"...I really can not describe to you why I am frustrated, I just am. I am frustrated with myself because I am trying so hard to enjoy this pregnancy, and I feel that I have gotten past the "beyond freaked out" stage but I am still worrying and I know that I need to put all my trust in God and just enjoy this wonderful miracle.

Sydney is giving us a run for our money with discipline. When she was younger she was just so cute and well behaved and then something happened...and now we have a very, I mean very, strong willed child. So I struggle every day with the questions...Am I doing this right? Am I raising this child the way God wants me to? Should I be disciplining her for this? ECT.

Life is just hard for me right now, and I know that it will get better but for now I am just praying that God shows me what I should be learning in these moments!

San Francisco

The day after Christmas we started our wonderful vacation to San Francisco. My parents got a timeshare on Nob Hill and wanted us to join them, and of course I could not turn that down. We had to be at the airport bright and early friday morning. I waited till the last minute to wake Sydney up so that we could just head out the door after she was dressed. I wish I had some pictures of the morning but my mom has all of those. Sydney did so good on the plane I was amazed...I thought it was going to be much harder. She watched a movie and played with some new toys that I saved for the plane ride. We got to SF by 10:30am and we could not check into our place till 3pm. (If you ever go to SF do NOT stay at Nob Hill Inn, it was horrible and I will get into more of that later.)

So to waist time before we could check in we went down to Fisherman's Wharf and walked around until Sydney fell asleep. Here are a few pictures of downtown SF.

Trolly cars

On Saturday we went to the park and Sydney got to do her favorite thing, swing on the swing:)
Walking with grandma
On Sunday we drove to Newark where we use to live. I moved from this house to AZ when I was 12 so it has been 14 years since we have been there and the house has not changed on the outside one bit! There is a lake right by our house that we always walked around at night or our school would do "fun runs" so I would always run around the lake with school and my dad and I use to race each other around it. Here are a few pictures of Newark

Mike gave the ducks some food so they started following them...Sydney thought this was the funniest thing ever!

On Monday we drove 2 hours to go see Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a huge place and tons of cool things to see. We all had a great time and Sydney really liked the fish. After the aquarium we went to a really nice seafood restaurant. Everyone got seafood but me, I ate some amazing chicken!
The cool Jelly Fish
Sydney seeing all the fish
Family picture under the waves
Grandpa and Sydney looking at the fish
Sydney playing in the children's center!
One Tuesday and Wednesday we spent the days in the city walking around Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. I got to go to Nike Town and get a cool pair of shoes and Mike got to go to his favorite store called Kid Robot, where he got some of his favorite collecting items. I am really not sure what they are called but to me they look like toys :)
The day before we left to come back home we went to see a family friend just outside of SF. It was about an hour drive and Sydney again did great in the car. We went to a pizza place with the family...it was just like an "Amazing Jakes" here in AZ. We ate a ton of food and then Sydney got to ride the rides. For the first time I actually saw that my little girl is not so little anymore. She wanted to ride the rides all by herself and she did great...but Mike and I really did not want her growing up already but its gonna happen!

Here are a few pictures of her being Miss Independent
She started getting tired so she wanted her monkey and paci

On Friday we headed home. Sydney had a little bit of a rough time on the flight home and thats just because it was way past her bed time. We all had a wonderful time. Mom and Dad thanks so much for taking us with you it was great to be able to get away from life for a little bit :)

CHRISTmas

We had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! On Christmas Eve we went to my parents house and had dinner and we were able to just spend sometime together. We opened gifts and let Sydney get some energy out before we headed home. Mike and I opened our small gifts to each other that night. Mike got me the newest Hanson CD which I really wanted and he also got me a few small things from Bath and Body works. I got Mike a video game that he really wanted but I really can not tell you much about it because I really do not play XBOX 360.

Christmas day we went to Mike's moms for a wonderful lunch and opened gifts again! Sydney got a few clothes and PJ's. Backyardigans bath toys and some things to play with when we leave tomorrow for San Francisco. I got an awesome sweatshirt but its the wrong size so I am going to have to return it. So hopefully they will have it in my size, I also got a Amex gift card that I will be using in SF. Mike got a few things too but I am not sure what all he got. I know that he got a watch, sweatshirt, and some other stuff. We had a great time with eachother!

It's amazing to me that Christ was born so that He could end up paying the ransom for me! I can not believe that He did it for me and I will never be able to comprehend it but I am forever grateful and Thankful!!!

Tomorrow we leave bright an early (5:45am) to San Francisco for a VACATION with my parents. So until we get back take care, and I hope that you all had a Very Merry Christmas!

I can breathe for the moment!

We had a little bit of a scare this weekend but thankfully, by the grace of God everything is perfect right now! I got an ultrasound done on Saturday and everything was looking good and then today I went in for another one and everything again looks perfect. I can actually breathe for the first time in 12 weeks. I got some beautiful pictures of our little peanut, and as of right now all I can do is thank God for this little miracle and feel blessed that we get to bring another little one into our family! Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound today.

Lisa, Thanks so much for being the one to talk me while I am freaking out, or just worrying along with me :) I would not have been able to get though this past weekend without you! Maybe a walk on Hale street will help out next time I freak out :)

Blessing...along with total fear!

Yesterday I was 12 weeks which is a totally blessing from God but also at the same time I still have so much fear that I need to give up to God and understand that He is in control over everything that happens.

The past few days I have totally been struggling with thoughts about losing this little baby. I have no idea what triggered these thoughts, but I have them all the time. I know that thoughts like this come along with multiple miscarriages, but I thought that I was handling them pretty well. I can not wait for my ultrasound next Monday but at the same time I don't want to go because I am so scared that they are going to tell me that there is no heartbeat, I don't want to deal with that again! I know that I need to embrace this pregnancy and I am going to try but at the same time it is so hard to do. I have this journal that I wrote in when I was pregnant with Sydney and I still write in it. I want to give it to her when she gets older. Anyways, I did this with the baby that we lost in March. I wrote it it everyday for 13 weeks until we lost the baby...after I lost the baby I threw it away I could not even look at it. Now I am 12 weeks and I still can not write in the journal that I have for this little one...and I have no idea when I will be comfortable doing it.

Again I just want you to know that I am extremely excited about this little one...I just have some fear that comes along with it. And thank-you to those you have been there for me everyday during this pregnancy, I have no idea what I would do without you!!

Nothing new!

Well, not much is new around the Marinello's household. Thanksgiving was good, we great I guess nothing went wrong and we all had a good time so that was nice. We spent Thanksgiving day at Mike's moms house all day and Mike got to see some of his cousins which he only see during the holidays so it was nice to catch up with them.

On Thursday night my parents took Sydney over night and Mike and I were able to go out on Black Friday...even though we don't have any money to spend it was kinda fun to go out. We did find a few good deals and got some Christmas shopping done for the family.

Sunday was my side of the families Thanksgiving. We spent that over at my parents house, so I was officially done with the turkey!

I have no pictures to post because I was a dork and did not take any but there is nothing I can do about it now :)

I was officially 11 weeks yesterday which is a total blessing but still has not taken the anxiety away yet. Not sure when I will stop worrying about it but, eventually it shall get easier! Prayers are welcome.
